When to Plant Cleome
Cleome is sensitive to cold, so for best results, plant in early spring in April or May. Cleome can also be started as an indoor plant and transferred after the cold season has passed. In ideal growing conditions, with moist soil and temperatures in the seventy degree range, seeds will sprout into seedlings in approximately two weeks after planting but can take up to five or six weeks to show solid growth.
